This was my first match for the day, i got a bye in the first round, so this is a second round match, fighting someone whose beaten a guy already. Good match, did what i trained to do. I'll work harder on my guard passing, this guy has a really strong guard and made it difficult for me to pass. Good match.
Fought Jason here, good match. He was a big boy and had my worried in the beginning. I went for the armbar after i fell over attempting an inside trip. Got half guard, swept, he stood back up and then i pulled guard and got a triangle. Gotta work on my takedowns!

Here i fight Jules i think. Quite possibly one of the best days of my life so far. To finally win a blue belt state comp after all the ups and downs this year was an amazing feeling.

I was a bit cheesed with the rules for this tournament, I wasnt aware that if the opponent pushed me off the mat that we restart with me on my knees and him behind me (I know its my own fault for not being aware). He ended up getting 2 points and winning on points. Kudo's to him. He's a big dude with MMA fight experience though. I'll learn, grow and hopefully get a rematch.
I got got two of my fights, the first one which was vs. Rich, and the final, i didnt get the two fights in between. In the final i fight Elan again (same two people in final!). Good fight Elan!
There is only 1 fight as i lost and the comp was knockout.
This what a comp run by the Machado's (i usually compete in Gracie tournaments), i fought Miternayer (really nice guy). This was the final and he beat me via points. Tough fight for me to lose, he was really strong, good fight mate!
1st VT1-Gym Comp 2006
This is my 3rd fight of the comp, against Shane. Good match, see my over-sprawl where i land on my face..lol..I finish via Americana shoulder lock but you cant see it because of the camera angle.
