some pieces of full-length animations for kids were made at the end of WW2. but there were almostly no kids who saw them, because most of cities in japan was burned by US army already. ofcourse, these movies prepared happyend which was, for us.
fake tatar attacks fake japanese :))))
but hero of this movie is old computer music instrument, Fairlight-CMI. I love this synthesizer sound by jan hammer. this is one of typical sound in early 1980s.
Shabondama-Holiday(S oap bubbles Holiday) was weekly golden program throughout 1960's. and I feel japanese gag sense is not unchanging. comic band "Crazy-Cats" plays cheap gags.
Gunkan-jima is formally called as "Hashima", which places takashima-cho, Nagasaki prefecture. It was only small reef, but it had developed for mining coal since 1870's. Its population was 5,000 at peak, and they built many high apartment. Thus it looked like a warship, so we call this island "Gunkanjima"(warship island). However it was closed at 1974, and it changed ruins now.
"the magical-dog liners,0011,transfor m!"

this cool music score was written by Yamashita Takeo.
Golden Bat is trad hero since before WW2 in here. this animation version is very colorful as if it was the test film for color TV broadcasting in early days.
