This was my senior thesis project at MCAD. I spent over 16 months working on it, in addition to my other projects, classes, and my internship at Make, LLC (which became my full time job right after school.) I finished the project just a few months ago, before my graduation in May of 2007. A lot of sweat, blood and love went into "Mortimer & Bracket", and I hope you enjoy their story!
G.I. Joe must defend his cardboard box from a killer robot Barbie. Madness and excessive violence ensue. This was the first stop-motion puppet animation I ever made.
A cave girl and her bizarre grandmother fend off a hungry raptor from eating the pile of drumsticks at their campsite. This was my second stop-motion puppet animation, a year and a half after "The Sentry".
An upper-class town of folks who obsess over and act like primates. "Monkeytown" was an exercise in design, stylized animation, and clear storyboarding of an existing script. It was the first-place winner in the student category of the 2006 Minnesota Siggraph (MET), and a semifinalist in the 2007 Adobe Design Achievement Awards (ADAA).
This was the first 2D animated short that I ever did. It was before I took my first animation class, in February of 2004, during my first year of art school. It's a bit clunky, and you can see the Ren & Stimpy influence a bit too much, but hey, gotta start somewhere, right?
A stream-of-conscious animation I made for class where the objective was to synchronize imagery with an assigned audio clip. Basically, an excited woman and a dirtbag robot tease each other suggestively. This was a very early stab at using After Effects, keyframing drawn layers.
The second half of a series of bumpers I directed for the Nicktoons network in the fall of 2006. Credit goes to Aaron Quist for the character designs and the voice of the bees.
A commercial bumper I directed and lead animated in the fall of 2006 for the Nicktoons network. Credit goes to Aaron Quist for the character designs, and Holly Thorstad for the background designs and models.
A logo bumper I made for MAKE incorporating the Sheriff character from our AICP Sponsor Intro.

A speculative Golden Grahams commercial created at Make, LLC. I designed and rigged the characters and animated the last 15 seconds. Kevin Wisdom modeled and textured the characters and animated the first 15 seconds.
