This is a panoramic view of my city, Yellowknife NWT from the middle of a walking trail that goes all around Frame Lake. Waht I forgot to mention on the video is that in the middle of that lake every year is a carnival with rides and tents and ice scuptures. So that lake gets pretty damn solid in the winter.

Yellowknife hosted the first spring GAC-MAC conference north of 60°. The conference coincided with the beginning of the International Polar Year(IPY) and and the International Year of Planet Earth. As part of the well attended special session on Geoscience Skills Development for Canadian Communities included a short field trip to the Giant Mine.
